Description
After a morning walk with my friend in her neighborhood we came back to her house to stretch in her lush backyard. I photographed these bananas from her banana tree on my cell phone and used it as an inspiration for this painting. I also used my banana tree in my yard for leaf reference. The light makes all the difference. Another 15 minutes and there would not have been any light or shadow on the bananas or the banana flower (yes, that’s the “flower”).
