Description

At one time, in upcountry Maui, Hali’imaile was loaded with pineapple fields. The pineapple is the perfect fruit to eat on a hot summer day and it’s naturally the queen of all fruits because it has a crown! Pineapples are also considered an expression of “welcome.” This particular watercolor painting is for sale and currently hanging in Bev Gannon’s Hali’imaile General Store, a most acclaimed restaurant on Maui that has served as a destination for residents and visitors since 1988. Much of their food is locally-sourced and their dishes are a unique blend of fresh Hawaiian flavors, local Asian influences, and modern preparations. This piece gives a message of friendship, hospitality and warmth.
