Description
The Hawaiian Sea Turtle is one of my favorite protected species in Maui. It’s only been in recent history that they have been sunbathing on shore. Just as the turtle cannot separate itself from its shell, neither can we separate ourselves from what we do to the Earth. They symbolize longevity and safe travels. This watercolor is painted on handmade watercolor paper and floated inside the frame.
