Description
When hiking I carry my cell phone which doubles as a camera. It’s the perfect size to carry around for capturing colors and ideas for paintings. “Earth Colors” was inspired by a hike on Maui’s north shore that took me through some rugged terrain to get to a high cliff of ocean views. That day was spectacular and I wanted to bring it home in an abstract painting to remind me of the various earth colors. This piece was selected into a juried show at the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center.
