Description

In Buddhism, persimmons symbolize transformation, and six of them signify enlightenment. As you can see, there’s only three. I guess I’m not enlightened or I would have painted six. Maybe I’m halfway to enlightenment. In any case, the backlighting of these three beautiful pieces of succulent fruit created these cast shadows that took on a shape of it’s own, dominating the foreground and serving as a pedestal for these enlightened fruit.
